Why Written Content Matters

March 12, 2018

The internet is now the most active and most competitive frontier for business. Businesses without frequently updated, high-profile online presences cannot succeed in today’s online market. Having high value written content on a business website is a great way to get (and keep) the attention of customers and drive sales.

Having a rich bank of online content allows potential customers to spend time learning about your business while getting high-value, entertaining content in return. Maintaining a blog for a business website is the best way to accomplish this. A blog suited to the speciality of the business in question attracts potential clients who already have an interest in the subject at hand. For example, a landscaper should maintain a blog featuring past projects and other stories that would attract people to the landscaping business. A good blog should feature a depth of content that is enough to engage visitors on the website so they stay past the first click.

Written Content should have three key purposes when it comes to running any type of business. The first is attracting visitors to the business website. The second is engaging the visitor with quality, high-value content. And finally, the written content should educate the visitor about the business and ultimately translate their visit into a sale.

Written content, such as this blog post I wrote for Herbal Republic, should offer website visitors something in return for clicking around and reading more about the business. Ideally, website content should be interesting, informative, and entertaining to make sure that visitors become customers. When done with a tight focus, the business that uses well made online content is able to direct its energy toward key markets in order to attract their ideal customer.

I have been writing focused online content for multiple years. In that time, I have learned that blogs can be a powerful tool for businesses to attract and keep customers and offer valuable information about the products and services they offer. I believe that written content should be easy to access, affordable for businesses, and most importantly, be able to drive sales and increase market exposure.

Does your business need a great online blog to drive website traffic and increase sales? If it does, or if you have any questions about the services I offer, please do not hesitate to contact me. Until then, I look forward to working with you to meet your business goals.
